Oh dear...

Oh Dear. This is true, she is an OP nun. See Back Home to Rome for more info. Why can't more nuns be like the Ganmain Sisters we met on the weekend?

Dear Sir,

Unfortunately Sister (Can I call still call her that?) has been liberated not only from the habit of the Order of Preachers but just about everything else, including obedience to the teachings of the Catholic Church on the issue of "choice".

I think someone should direct her to the writings of the saintly Pere Lacordaire. For example in his Conferences at Notre Dame he dedicates half a conference to how "the Gospel has rendered back to woman liberty, instruction, all the civil rights. But it has, in addition, created for her three offices, which give to her a glorious action upon the destinies of mankind: respect, education and the ministration of charity." If Sister would but realise that woman don't need the kind of choice and liberation Modernists promise.

You are right, she should be more like the Conventual nuns at Ganmain but I fear that she would struggle to stay in her habit.
